Hostel Accommodation: IISER Kolkata offers hostel facilities for its students. IISER Kolkata hostels come with facilities like security, 24/7 electricity & water supply, medical facilities, recreational facilities, and more. IISER Kolkata has three hostel buildings: the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose hall, the Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar hall, and the Nivedita hall. Library: To support students and faculty research, teaching, and learning, the IISER Kolkata Library subscribes to a wide range of electronic resources, including online databases (both full-text and bibliographic), e-journals, e-books, etc. IISER Kolkata library also bought copies of issues of journals from different publishers. Computing Facility: The Computing Section continues to be the caretaker of all IISER Kolkata's network and computing solutions. The section works to give all IISER Kolkata members quick, secure access to the network and computers. The section offers all essential services, including mail, web, wiki, help desks, and custom academic ERP programmes. The section oversees the campus's entire wired and wireless LAN. National Knowledge Network (NKN) offers a 100 Mbps dedicated network line as the primary external network connection for IISER Kolkata.
Additionally, NKN contributed to the construction of a virtual classroom at IISER Kolkata, which has seating for about thirty people and is connected to all other major Institutes across the nation via the NKN grid. The Institute is proud of its many small computing clusters, which range in size from 200 to 600 Gigaflops and are currently in use.
The computer section anticipates setting up a high performance cluster with 1 Teraflop in the near future. The section oversees a computer centre with about fifty desktops for course and research students, some of which are connected to form a small experimental cluster called Meghnad.
Guest House Facilities: IISER Kolkata guest house facilities if offered to all the guests of IISER Kolkata including but not limited to parents visiting their wards at the college. Smart Class Rooms: An initiative to connect all of India's higher education institutions has been launched by the National Knowledge Commission, which is part of the Indian government. In support of these initiatives, IISER Kolkata has been linked via optical fibre link to the National Knowledge Network (NKN) since July 2011. A Virtual Classroom, or e-Classroom, has been set up at IISER Kolkata as an application to use this high-speed connection offered by National Knowledge Network.
The purpose of this virtual classroom facility is to eliminate physical barriers between teachers and students who are located in various places. For instance, students from IISER Kolkata can join a class being held at IISER Pune and interact live with the instructor there, and vice versa. The Ramanujan Virtual Classroom is a virtual classroom facility that can send and receive high-definition interactive video lectures across the world via the internet. Additionally, a campus LAN and Wi-Fi facility are available in this room.

International students have the chance to apply for the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarship, which is provided on behalf of the Government of India, through IISER Kolkata.
